L-theanine is an amino acid that naturally occurs almost exclusively in the leaves of the tea plant (Camellia sinensis). It's one of the compounds that give tea its characteristic, soft umami flavour. So you take it in whenever you drink tea, but a cup contains only a limited amount, along with caffeine.

Clearly L-theanine is naturally derived from green tea and concentrated to 98% purity, without synthetic additives. Plant-based, virtually caffeine-free and certified halal and kosher.

Our L-theanine is naturally derived from the leaves of green tea (Camellia sinensis). It isn't a synthetically produced substance, but comes from the same plant as tea.

Our L-theanine has a purity of 98%, measured by HPLC. That's a high, consistent concentration: each capsule contains 100mg of L-theanine. The extract is also non-GMO, non-irradiated and tested for heavy metals, pesticides and microbiological purity.

Only a very small amount: no more than 0.2%. Because the L-theanine is naturally extracted from green tea, a minimal trace of caffeine remains, around 0.2mg per capsule. That's far less than a cup of tea, which typically contains 20–50mg.

Ik was eerst sceptisch of het echt zou doen wat ze beloven. Na veel inlezen en vergelijken toch de l-theanine gekocht en aan mijn tiener dochter gegeven onder het mom van ‘baat het niet, schaadt het niet’ Toen zij in de trein naar haar school zat appte ze me en vertelde ze dat ze voor het eerst sinds tijden gewoon voor zich uit heeft gekeken zonder dat ze perse over vanalles na hoeft te denken! Haar hoofd was kalmer en overzichtelijker. Dit gaf haar zoveel rust!!!! Ze neemt het nu elke ochtend en avond in. Dus ja; het doet echt wat ze beloven!
